L'étable sur Samoens

A small, typical restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of the city... a very friendly welcome, delicious and generous dishes. I'll happily return. If you're passing through Samoëns, don't hesitate... take the time to stop for lunch, you won't be disappointed.

Very warm welcome, cozy atmosphere, very high quality homemade meals, local products. We felt at home, very family-friendly. Everything was perfect. The price-quality ratio is very reasonable. Well done to you and a big thank you for this wonderful gastronomic discovery.

It was a dream! We felt so comfortable in this warm and homely atmosphere. The hosts are incredibly kind and so helpful – we speak poor French, and they don't speak any German or English. Nevertheless, we communicated and had a wonderful laugh together. The food was simply fantastic! It's local, home-style cooking, but of a high standard. The sauce for the sausages is sensational, and the potato gratin is just as we've always dreamed of. Grandma couldn't have made it better! Thank you for everything, we'll be happy to come back and will definitely be back! Oh yes: Reservations are mandatory and pre-ordering is required. The hostess wrote down all the dishes for us so we could translate them. Thanks again for this fantastic service!

I don't know if we came on a bad day, but everything lacked seasoning! The tartiflette and gratin dauphinois were flavorless. And the fondue... arrived already a bit sliced. A block of cheese formed with the oil on the other side. We reported it, and the owner told us to eat quickly! The filet mignon was very good, as was the apricot clafoutis. Very disappointed!

Great experience in Samoëns. Fresh, authentic. I recommend it.

We were looking forward to coming, but this Saturday, August 16th, it was closed, even though Google says it's open and it's high season. What a shame... another time and we'll call first...
