After three taste stops over the last few years, the last of which took place on Easter Monday 2024, I consider all the positive opinions awarded to the Charollaise stage and happily award it 5 new deserved stars. A little off the beaten track, this restaurant obviously does not need any advertising other than word of mouth to attract a full house, or a full terrace in summer.
The welcome is perfect, the attention is there with in particular the appetizers which accompany the aperitif or the sweets served with the coffee, the dishes are excellent, the presentation worthy of a starred restaurant and the smile the waitresses more than compensate for the decor, whose slightly old-fashioned charm reminds us that the establishment has been open for many years, but the bottle doesn't matter as long as we're drunk (in moderation, of course).
On our way to Autun we stopped in this small village and little did we know that the meal was going to be fantastic. We took the discovery menu for 29 euros and the deer fillet was truly exceptional. Other dishes looked fantastic too. A touch of gastro with low prices and attentive staff. Really great. You can't be disappointed
