Amazing atmosphere. The chef is amazing, dishes are flavourful and very generous. For us who have travelled to Italy many times, it genuinely feels like you’re there. Would come again a thousand times. 10/10 absolutely recommended.
We came here based on an old review that touted its pizza so we were worried when there was no longer any pizza on the menu and it seemed like a different restaurant. But the wait staff was very friendly and we sat next to the window (it was during the heat wave) and people watched. Our fears were unfounded because the food was delicious ! Our burrata appetizer with tomatoes was refreshing and well seasoned. The gnocchi special with mushrooms was a knockout: pillowy pasta with a mushroom/ garlic sauce. The octopus was tender and well charred with a craveable artichoke puree and fried pieces. All in all, an exceptional meal.
The dishes were simply amazing, beautifully presented and tasted so good. Our server was also very friendly and spoke in English whenever we needed help. A place to visit for good pastas and desserts!
Pasta here stands up to pasta from all over the world. Women owned business!! Excellent food, excellent service. Chef/owner came to our table to visit. Very approachable for non-French speakers. Definitely recommend!!
This was my second visit to PAPI.
It’s a stylish Italian restaurant with a modern look, the kind of place that works well for a dinner with friends or a casual date.
We started with the burrata with crushed pea purée, which was very good.
When I visited a few years ago, I remember feeling that the pasta portions were a little smaller side. This time, however, they seemed much more generous.
The service was friendly and relaxed. A cool and approachable waitress seemed to be running the floor and took good care of the tables.
Overall, it’s a casual but nicely put-together restaurant. I’d happily go back again and would recommend it to friends.
