Above all, try the truffade and the porcini mushroom risotto! Nice, they put the bike in the barn below. Given the location it is excellent value for money.

Friends of the Priory of Charolles On June 14, the 20 people in the group had lunch at the restaurant, a hearty and good meal, but it's a shame that the waiter only agreed to reheat the starter for the driver's meal after 3 requests. The 10 people who slept at the hotel were delighted with the cleanliness of the rooms and the quality of the bedding. Overall good service

Superb stop! Double room with living room, renovated! Extremely kind service: there was no more room at the pizzeria, they brought me dinner in the room! I will go back there...!!

24/08/2024: Absolutely atypical restaurant. We appreciated everything: the decor, the home cooking, the good humor and kindness of the owner, the table football... Visiting the abbey is not enough when you come to La Chaise-Dieu!! A stop is essential at Fougaou!!
18/08/2024: Friendly and warm welcome, pleasant decor and a very nice terrace. The local dishes are hearty and very tasty. The lentil and cold meat salad is very hearty, the sausage accompanied by lentils with chanterelles very tasty, the grilled pig's trotter a real treat for connoisseurs.

01/09/2024: My parents who had lunch yesterday at this establishment appreciated the particularly friendly and attentive welcome and service. All the dishes served were very well presented and very tasty, all in a soberly refined setting. An ideal place before or after a concert in this charming little Auvergne village which becomes a large one every end of summer, when from its "abbey" resounds the "echo" of a festival now well known to fans of classical music. Well done !
16/08/2024: We had a very pleasant time in the cool room of this restaurant because the almost scorching temperature outside did not make us want to take advantage of the pretty terrace at the foot of the Abbey! A warm welcome, pretty dishes, original and well-prepared cuisine... Yes, I recommend!
