L'heure de la Galette! sur Louvigne-Du-Desert

We knew this restaurant at its old address, where the food and service were perfectly matched: simple and good. Unfortunately, they've lost that friendly atmosphere since then and, more importantly, have raised their prices (which are now approaching those of a fine dining establishment). It's a bit much; it's just a crêperie...

Always excellent, nothing to complain about, I'll definitely be back!!

For any restaurant to have been in operation for over 10 years, it must be good. This fabulous creperie is tucked away on a side road within the town, next to a carpark on the Rue Marechal Leclerc. We visited during a weekday at lunchtime, as a party of four. I was immediately impressed by the welcome from the female host/chef. We were all bowled over by the interior decor, which was modern, sharp and extremely well designed. Meals are cooked from a central, circular work station with a glass screen. The menu was varied, with various Crepes dominating, as one would expect, but there were a selection of non crepe items to suit most tastes, including vegetarians. The service was prompt, and jovial with the ordered items delivered to table quite quickly, with no waiting around. As a retired former head chef, l have to say that this was one of the best Crepes l have tasted in France, and l have been visiting since the late 1960s! Both myself and fellow diners could not fault anything, from service to atmosphere and from cleanliness to the meals. Great establishment which l will certainly visit again when in the area.

The crêperie L'Heure de la Galette truly deserves five stars on Google. The quality of the products, especially the local ingredients, makes all the difference. The galettes are perfect and the desserts are delicious. The service is warm and friendly. We had a wonderful evening. I highly recommend it! Well done, Lydie, and your team!
