L'Hirondelle sur Cancale

06/04/2026: If you're looking for a restaurant with a beautiful sea view, excellent food, and service to match, this is the place to go. Whether you're on the terrace or inside, you're facing the sea, with a rugged coastline on one side and the port of Cancale on the other, without the tourist crowds. I should mention that I use a wheelchair, and, unusually, they took the time to carry my wheelchair up the few steps leading to the restaurant. They were very kind and considerate, and I felt very comfortable.

05/04/2026: The current owners took over the restaurant in the spring of 2022, and we return every year to rediscover the cuisine of Chef Hervé. We are always warmly welcomed by Aurore, who is very attentive to our requests. Each time, we booked in advance, requesting a table facing the bay window. Our request was always granted. The setting is magnificent, with a breathtaking view of the Bay of Cancale and Mont-Saint-Michel. We never tire of it! After four visits, we have noticed the improvements, and each time we are pleasantly surprised by the inventiveness and presentation of the dishes, from the amuse-bouches to the desserts. The dishes (which showcase local products) deserve to be savored at leisure. The kitchens were renovated this year to better serve our guests, and a terrace with standing tables complements the existing one. The staff is always smiling and very helpful. We promise to come back more often because the time spent being pampered was so pleasant.
