L'horloge sur Saint-Jean-D'Angely

Sophie and Hélène continue to make this place a benchmark in Saint-Jean-d'Angely. Delicious cuisine, excellent atmosphere, attentive service—it's all there!

A charming restaurant with a unique tapas-style atmosphere. The food combinations are original. The service is very friendly, and the price-quality ratio is excellent.

The dishes are good, the wines are expensive.

Very pleasant meal, in a friendly setting with a very attentive team. I will happily go there again.

Not much on the plate. A gourmet salad that wasn't. No details of its composition were given on the slate. I thought I was getting a salad made with raw vegetables, but instead I ended up with large chunks of smoked ham (shoulder-style) that were greasy. The dessert, which still wasn't listed on the slate (a chocolate fondant with a scoop of ice cream), came straight from the refrigerator; so frozen, it wasn't at all soft, and on top of the ice cream were toasted almonds: still not listed, and which I had to remove to avoid an allergy attack. As for the coffee, it was more like very thin sock juice. In their defense, they told me the machine was broken and that on August 15th, they didn't have a repairman. They didn't charge me for the coffee, which I didn't drink.

Located in the historic heart of Saint-Jean-d'Angély, Le Cabanon is a lovely place to stop for lunch in a warm and bright setting. The service is attentive, and the dishes are well-presented, showcasing fresh, carefully prepared ingredients. The prices are in line with the quality offered. A pleasant break in the city center.
