L'Hortus sur Montpeyroux

Quick service, the Truffade wasn't extraordinary, the potatoes were average and lacked flavor. The brioche French toast served as a main course was too soggy due to its ingredients. But the meal was hearty.

Dinner was served in a very hot room; the air conditioning was available but not working. The service was pleasant and very quick. The dishes were bland and lacked flavor, which was a shame.

Excellent restaurant specializing in Auvergne cuisine. The staff are very friendly and the terrace is pleasantly decorated. A great place to eat.

This is our third visit to Hortus, and it's a real treat! The setting is lovely, the portions are generous, and the menu changes monthly, which keeps things interesting. We especially loved the truffade! We'll definitely be back!

A disaster: the spritzes were tasteless, the saffron soft-boiled egg didn't taste of saffron and lacked salt, the sweetbreads were like chewing gum and far too salty, and even the ice cream was flavorless. Avoid this restaurant!

A little haven of peace where it's lovely to eat on the terrace in the evening. The cuisine is refined. I highly recommend it!

We left very disappointed with our experience. The dishes weren't bad, but they were far from justifying the prices. The portions were too small, especially the €9 dessert, which we finished in just a few spoonfuls, without any real explosion of flavors. We were also surprised by the €2.50 surcharge simply for changing the garnish on a dish, which seemed excessive. Unfortunately, the service ruined the meal. With the exception of one pleasant and smiling waitress, the rest of the staff seemed cold and rushed. The courses arrived at an unusual pace, giving the impression that they were eager to clear the table as quickly as possible. I can understand that at the end of the evening, the staff might want to finish their shift, but this shouldn't be so palpable to the customers. Our aperitif glasses remained on the table throughout the meal, we had to ask for water several times, and we felt that the service was rushed. We also found it odd that we had to order dessert at the same time as our main course. Ultimately, it wasn't a bad meal, but in our opinion, the value for money was far from satisfactory. It's a shame, because this restaurant has potential, but unfortunately, the welcome, the pace of service, and the prices don't make us want to return.

A wonderful experience, with dynamic and attentive staff. The food was high-quality and plentiful, and best of all, homemade. We can't wait to see the menu this fall. We certainly don't regret our choice.
