The cocktails were delicious, but the service wasn't great. They served cocktails without chips, peanuts, or anything else to go with them, whereas you'd get that in any neighborhood bistro. When I wanted another drink, I had to go get the menu myself; they told me the menus were right there... I won't be going back, which is a shame because the cocktails were really good!

The bar has a very laid-back, welcoming atmosphere that puts you at ease straight away. Martin and his staff are truly amazing. In summer, the small terrace is perfect and shaded. Honestly, if I'd lived in Paris, I would have had my apéro here daily. One of the nicest spots in the city.

A really nice bar for drinks with friends. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is friendly, and the welcome is warm. You quickly feel at ease there; a place to remember!

Excellent place for a drink, the barman, I think they were called Bert, was really great and informative. Drinks were lovely and reasonable. Will definitely come back!

06/08/2026: Taking over such an iconic establishment isn't easy. Yet, the new team has managed to preserve everything that made it so special: beautiful bottles, warm service, a lively, friendly atmosphere, and that joyful chaos that gives the place its charm. The spirit of Les Avant Comptoirs has finally returned, without any snobbery, just the pleasure of sharing a good time. Thank you to the team! ♥️
04/08/2026: Lovely atmosphere, staff were amazing. When I asked for the wine list the lady said 'i am the wine list' and then asked what I wanted and found me the perfect wine! Loved the taramasalata and the black pudding! Made some lovely french friends ( Lucas and Lucas). Best night so far en Paris!!!! 🥰🥰🥰
