A lovely little restaurant. Reservations are required in advance, and they accept dogs on the terrace. As the weather was improving, we were kindly offered a table inside, alone in a small room. A very thoughtful gesture indeed. The service was a bit slow for the main courses. I recommend the Chauvinois burger and the half duck breast. However, the beef dish was rather bland; tasty but lacking in sauce.

Lunch on the way back from vacation, so unplanned... no problem finding something to eat. Excellent restaurant. Welcoming. Offers set menus at lunchtime on weekdays.

A very pleasant surprise at a roadside stop. An unexpected stop in Chauvigny and a superb little meal. The beef tartare was just right. And the trout fillet was superb!

We are on a touring holiday in France (from U.K.) and found this wonderful restaurant. We hear about these special places and today we found the perfect traditional French restaurant. The 3 course meal and coffee was excellent value, excellent quality and excellent friendly service. Vive La France, Vive L’Imprevu!

This is a great restaurant. We arrived around noon and were seated immediately without any wait. The service was smooth and quick, with minimal waiting. It's a five out of five for value for money. The food is excellent and not very expensive. The staff is friendly and welcoming. A very good restaurant, 5/5.

10/03/2026: Everything in this well-located little hotel is designed to ensure guest satisfaction: a warm welcome and attentive staff, a comfortable room, private parking, a restaurant with delicious food (our dog 🐕 loved it too 😃). The value for money is also excellent; we highly recommend this establishment and will gladly return.
04/02/2026: What a delightful surprise this restaurant was!!...a client, Evelyne, whom I met in Chauvigny, recommended it for lunch...easy to get to and a very pleasant atmosphere... The staff were incredibly attentive and caring (they cleared away breadcrumbs between courses and changed cutlery after each course...) and the lunch menu included an exceptionally tender and moist stew...the starter was divine and the dessert lived up to the rest of the meal...in short, a truly wonderful experience that I highly recommend!! Thank you to the entire team at Le Lion d'Or!

Hotel Restaurant Beausejour

22/05/2026: Everything was perfect. The room was very quiet and comfortable. Dinner was very good, as was the wine. There is ample parking. I highly recommend this hotel.
26/04/2026: A truly lovely and warm welcome! We were just passing through for one night. The room is simple but comfortable and overlooks a pretty garden. The breakfast is very good and reasonably priced! And the mango jam is delicious!!!! Thank you again for everything.
