One of the oldest pizzerias in the city center... Average service, very average pizzas, relatively expensive wines. For the same price, you can find better elsewhere.

When wonderful people genuinely love their work and their customers, the result is L’Italien! The location and the food are excellent (as the numerous reviews show); this time I wanted to highlight the PEOPLE: Bettina and Jacques are excellent professionals 👏🏻 it's a pure pleasure to see them every time! A great restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. The Neapolitan pizza was delicious and not too salty. My partner's cheese pizza was also very good; you could really taste all the cheeses. I highly recommend this lovely place.

We discovered this restaurant thanks to the Klub app, and we were able to try both the dine-in and takeout options on a second visit. We received a very warm welcome each time! The service is fast, the staff is very friendly, and the pizzas were so good that I didn't even have time to take a picture! 😂 We'll definitely be back :)

While visiting La Rochelle, we stumbled upon this restaurant. What a pleasant surprise! We received a warm welcome, including our little girl. The service was quick. We ordered salmon ravioli and the Italian steak tartare – delicious! The bill was very reasonable. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

22/01/2026: Great find! The waitress was attentive and professional. We asked for some advice and she answered directly, I loved it 😋 Just a minor drawback: the unpleasant sewer smell, which put me off my appetite a bit.
20/01/2026: We were a group of 10, and we waited a long time for drinks. The classic pasta carbonara and the risotto were disappointing. The rest was okay, but nothing special.

24/01/2026: One of the best pizzerias in La Rochelle... Two minor, very personal complaints: limited wine list and no Diavola pizza (my favorite).
17/01/2026: Delicious pizzas, thin crust and excellent toppings! Don't arrive too late, or there won't be any room.
