A real treat! The asparagus hot dog, beef carpaccio, half duck breast, pork chop, and pear and caramel dessert were excellent. A truly original blend of flavors. The cuisine is sophisticated and full of surprises. Friendly and humorous servers. A must-try restaurant!

I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff are polite, kind, and professional.
The dishes are delicious, traditional French, and made with fresh ingredients. Excellent value for money.

I had a great time sitting at the counter facing the team. I really enjoyed the sardines and a special mention for the duck breast perfectly cooked by Paul!

We had made a reservation (Philippe), which was completely useless since we were given a table in a back room isolated from the main dining area. It was very poorly heated (we had to eat with our coats on) and the cleanliness left much to be desired: the table hadn't been wiped, the floor hadn't been swept, and it simply wasn't clean (for a €98 dinner, we would have expected better conditions). As for the owner's attitude, it was deplorable. He left the waiter to fend for himself without even looking at us, and let's not even mention an apology! It's a shame, because the food is original, quite generous, and delicious, but we would still hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

Mixed feelings about our experience at this restaurant. We made a reservation for four, requesting a table in a draft-free area. Upon arrival, our table was on the ground floor between the entrance and the terrace. Although few tables were occupied, we were refused a table change. No big deal, we ordered our aperitifs and main courses. The waiter was very pleasant and had a great sense of humor. The meal was good, though not excellent, as it was quite high in calories. It was generous portions. The desserts, advertised as homemade, left us skeptical about the "homemade" aspect. In short, it wasn't a major issue, and we enjoyed the evening with the ever-friendly waiter. When it came time to pay, the aperitif prices had changed; the Ricard had gone up by 2 euros and my draft beer by 1 euro... What can I say? After pointing it out, the waiter still checked to make sure I wasn't trying to haggle... The whole experience left us with a rather... oily and mixed taste.

A place that combines refined cuisine with a warm welcome and a great atmosphere.
I highly recommend it, especially since I only visit Angoulême occasionally and have never been disappointed in several years! Well done, don't change a thing!
