Still as good as ever, with top-notch service

Happiness is on the plate at Ô à la Bouche! We had already been to this elegantly decorated restaurant in Cahors. Elegant and refined are indeed the adjectives that best describe Jean-François Dive's cuisine. But we could also add creativity and a quest for flavor. In the €32 tasting menu we chose, everything was perfect, and not just because the "perfect egg" was one of the two starters we selected. This split pea velouté with a perfect egg and duck breast was a delight. It was followed by confit pork belly with a potato galette and endives caramelized with honey: it was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The "cardamom and coffee" dessert, a macaron shell with orange cream and candied orange, represented the harmony of a surprising array of flavors. The welcome and service are impeccable. This is not only a place to remember, but one you'll definitely want to return to as often as possible.
