L'Océan sur Concarneau

We spent four nights at this hotel. The reception was rather cold, the room was spacious, but housekeeping wasn't done until 5:30 pm on the second day because, according to the receptionist, there weren't enough staff. The restaurant is very noisy when there are groups, which was the case during our stay. Breakfast was adequate. The view from the restaurant is magnificent (especially at sunset).

Lovely location, excellent food and professional service. View was beautiful.

It's a bit early to comment on the hotel and/or restaurant's services. I went in simply to inquire about a reservation and was greeted by a smiling and helpful hostess who showed me around the rooms, which I found particularly pleasant (especially the one with a balcony and sea view) and spacious. I've often driven past this establishment without ever stopping. It just goes to show, "opportunity makes the thief." To be continued...

The hotel reception is excellent, the staff are very attentive. However, the restaurant is frankly awful, not the waiters. I make better at home. I tried the Saint Marcellin appetizer, which was basically a measly piece of white bread with melted cheese and a ton of bagged salad. I make the same thing at home. I also tried the chicken supreme with forestière sauce, and it's best avoided. It tastes like mass-produced food, especially considering the €27 set menu (starter and main course) is a rip-off. On the other hand, the hotel is well-located and the staff is impeccable.
