We stopped by today and weren't too happy with the waitress's attitude after we pointed out an insect in our water carafe. I know such things can happen, but not apologizing is worrying.
I also think you rush your customers; we ate in 45 minutes flat (main course, dessert, coffee) – no time to waste! 😅
However, the meat was very good, and I hope to receive better service next time.

We arrived at 11 without a reservation and were very well received. The service was friendly and quite quick; the children were served promptly to avoid any waiting. Our meal was very good, with fresh, generous portions – nothing to complain about, a great time!

We came for a family meal this weekend and we had a wonderful time!
I personally opted for the sirloin steak with foie gras, which was delicious! The service was perfect and professional despite the crowds; we had a fantastic time and we can't wait to come back!
Well done to Elodie and her entire team!
I highly recommend it!

I'm a native of Les Sables-d'Olonne, and L'Océan used to be my go-to café; I was never disappointed. But recently, after being invited for a cup of tea on the terrace, I ordered a waffle as a last resort, since there weren't many options for an afternoon snack.
What a disappointment! The waffle was bland and tasteless.
The moral of the story is, I won't be going back until the quality improves. I'd rather spend my money with places that are more discerning about the quality of their food.

Visiting at the start of the 2026 season. A very pleasant discovery, from the service and delivery to the kitchens. Despite very high demand, they all managed to satisfy us and remained attentive. Excellent value for money with truly delicious products, beautifully presented.
