L'Oeuf de Coq sur Lavaur

We received a very warm welcome at a restaurant that was rather quiet, probably due to the funfair taking place that evening. All the better for us. Comfortably seated under the fig tree with catfish for company, we let ourselves be swept away by the discovery of the six-course menu and its paired wines. We were surprised (many times), somewhat ambivalent (rarely), delighted, and transported by an explosion of flavor (always), with time between each course to recover from our emotions. The wines were interesting, some original, and always perfectly complemented our dishes. A wonderful experience that I highly recommend. Thank you to Alice for the welcome, the service, and the wines. Thank you to Mathieu for this culinary journey.

The food and service are worthy of a top restaurant.

Tasting menu with excellent value for money. A relaxed atmosphere, just the way we like it. Enjoy an aperitif on the shaded terrace.

A very pleasant place, attentive yet relaxed service, a moment of relaxation and a journey of flavors. The waitress's presentations and explanations were much appreciated. You need to have the time and take it; the terrace area is understated and chic without being over the top. It's nice to eat well without taking yourself too seriously. The bill can quickly add up if you have a drink or two. One point for improvement: the white meat could have been more flavorful, but otherwise it was a very nice discovery. I recommend it.

A truly excellent gourmet restaurant, with a very natural and understated decor in excellent taste...

No menu, but a surprise tasting menu, like a flavorful culinary journey. Dietary restrictions are, of course, taken into account. The cuisine is very creative and refined, blending local produce, Occitan flavors, and Japanese influences. Sometimes, the fish dishes featured a few too many flavors, which masked the precision of the cooking and the quality of the ingredients. The service could be a little faster in the transition between courses.

A wonderful experience, everything was excellent. The setting is very pleasant, and the service was impeccable and friendly.

What a wonderful discovery! We had a fantastic time at L’Œuf de Coq, which made our weekend in the countryside truly special! Everything was perfect, and we will definitely be back! Thank you so much! ☺️

A fantastic experience, I highly recommend it.

I loved this place. You'll be pleasantly surprised by its location on a small square in Lavaur, and from the moment you step inside, the decor and the warm welcome will enchant you. But above all, you'll discover refined and original cuisine, fresh ingredients subtly prepared and presented harmoniously. The service is attentive, friendly, and very efficient. An address to share for a truly delightful experience.
