The waitresses were very professional and really friendly.
The place is lovely, located on the village's legendary square. The vegetarian pizza was delicious, and the buckwheat galette was excellent. The very affordable prices are a major plus. Well done, we can only encourage you!

The beef bourguignon was okay.
The service was inattentive. We had to wait ages before we could order, and then the food took a long time to arrive.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was very cramped, with steps and tripping hazards everywhere. The building is in a medieval state.
And there was a queue for the restroom, which wasn't very clean either.
The restaurant is definitely not wheelchair accessible.
Best to avoid.

Always had a really good meal here. Some of the other places can be a bit hit and miss, but we have never had anything to complain about here. Pleasant staff who always manage to find you a table, despite how busy it is. Best place is to sit outside under the historic platane tree, but they also have a Harry Potter themed room if you want something quirky!
Their galettes are superb and the tartiflette excellent. Highest recommendation for this lovely place with a great crew!

Friendly service. Good crepes.
However, we were seated right next to the toilets... the door was constantly open, which wasn't very pleasant.

Nice atmosphere in the sunshine. The meal was served quickly and was quite good (although the beef bourguignon didn't seem to be made with red wine, which is the whole point of beef bourguignon). The waitress said the service was pleasant; we were lucky, but others were met with the waitress asking, "Have you chosen or...?" as if she couldn't wait. We were able to enjoy a drink later in the evening, but we didn't quite understand the restaurant's opening hours. Arriving at 8:30 pm, the waitress asked her manager if it was still open (?).
Nevertheless, the setting is magnificent and the meals are definitely affordable!

For the past few years, we've been coming to Saint-Guilhelm-le-Désert for about 10 days around Easter.
And after hiking, we (almost) always stop here for something to eat and drink.
The food has always been good, the prices are reasonable, and the service is always friendly.
Highly recommended!
