Exceptional and unfussy dinner. Very tempting menu; every dish looked attractive and I wish I could have gone back for more. Perfectly cooked steak. Excellent service. Very highly recommended if you’re looking for some good dinner away from the noisy areas and the tourist cash grabs.

Venturing out on Saturday evening, the 16th, in search of a restaurant worthy of the Old Port's vibrant atmosphere, and especially one close to it, we were thoroughly won over by L’Oliveraie. A concise menu that immediately inspires confidence: seven starters to share, followed by two meat and two fish dishes, with a real focus on sourcing and seasonality. We were completely won over: black tarama, sardine fritters, and toasted octopus to share, before the seven-hour lamb and braised cuttlefish. A resounding ovation for the chef, both for the cooking techniques and the side dishes: flavors, tastes, and combinations that were as precise as they were delicious. Precise, generous cuisine without being heavy. I highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant.

A delicious meal in this quiet little restaurant. The €37 set menu included wine (very good). Impeccable service from a very friendly young waiter. A place to remember.

We followed the TripAdvisor reviews and were delighted to dine at this restaurant. A super professional chef who personally takes our orders and cooks divinely. My husband, who is very hard to please, repeatedly exclaimed "it's good, it's very good" while savoring the red mullet with ratatouille and "so good" while enjoying the homemade Baked Alaska. Furthermore, out of concern for the environment, the water served is purified. Bravo for your commitment to sustainability and your talent! Thank you to the very pleasant and professional team who remind us of the French tradition of service, which has been somewhat forgotten in recent years. We will tell our friends from Valence about our discovery when they come to stay in Marseille.
