An Alsatian woman recommended this to us—what a wonderful discovery! The welcome was warm, and when asked, all the sweets were explained in German. She explained them all until she came up with the word SCHLAGSAHNE (whipped cream), which wasn't enough for her—sweet! My recommendation: the elaborately made Finger Siciliane, pictured on the left. By the way: you pay at the counter as you leave... My tip for visiting the city: the P&R team at NOUVEAU Bassain, costs only €2 for up to 5 people on the tram! Buy your ticket from the doorman. During the city tour, read the street names: French and Alemannic, amusing!
