An excellent brunch in a superb setting! Well done!

Very nice restaurant, upscale meal

I visited this restaurant for lunch some time ago. It's a very elegant restaurant, surrounded by refined and beautiful furnishings, offering a truly extraordinary experience. On that day, I enjoyed a wonderful, authentic French course meal, and the main dish—seasonal white asparagus paired with tender white fish and a delicate white sauce—was exceptionally delicious. I was constantly impressed by the delicate seasoning that brought out the best in the ingredients, and the beautiful presentation. The service was also top-notch, making it the perfect place for a special lunch. I would definitely like to revisit for an anniversary or other special occasion.

Brunch restaurant in the Château Park with a large outdoor terrace adjoining the main dining room. A set lunch menu (served from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM) is offered at €40 per person, excluding drinks, but coffee is included (June 2026). It consists of a buffet of cold and hot dishes, cheeses, and desserts. The setting is superb, and the service is attentive, meticulous, and professional. We were able to have lunch in the indoor dining room without a reservation or waiting (around 1:00 PM on a Sunday), as the wait for a table on the terrace was over an hour. The service, limited to bread and drinks and clearing plates, remained attentive and efficient. It is regrettable that the same cannot be said for the dishes and food available, which are mostly processed (food-industrial) products assembled at the last minute for the buffets. The scrambled eggs were mixed with poorly mashed hard-boiled eggs, large pieces of coagulated egg white, and were unpleasant to eat. The steamed vegetables (too tough) were uniformly and crudely cut, like something from a factory. I won't even mention the other items, which held no particular culinary interest. It's regrettable that none of the staff could properly specify or explain which cheeses were available on the platter. This entire "dismal experience" absolutely does not justify such a price, if only because of the obvious absence of fresh, local, seasonal produce sourced from short supply chains, truly prepared and enhanced in the kitchen. These aren't "bad products," but they simply don't justify the final bill, which is all that will remain as a memory. The Château de Chenonceau deserves a better showcase of quality than a mere "French-style" copy-and-paste of restaurant concepts from other continents, if only out of respect for its many international guests. Note: Your lovely Touraine wines (red) deserve the delicate touch of being served chilled to 15°C (and not at "room temperature," especially after a week of scorching heat and 26°C that day). They don't deserve this waste resulting from a lack of understanding of basic oenological principles; it's disrespectful and offensive to the excellent work of the Touraine winemakers.

I really liked this place — the staff is fast and friendly, the food and drinks are delicious, and the atmosphere is very nice. I also appreciated how clean everything was.

We were there for lunch, specifically a €40 brunch. A very pleasant spot, in the castle grounds. Perhaps a little pricey for brunch, but it's an exceptional place. The service was friendly. It's advisable to book ahead.

Products of very average quality in a very pretty setting

Long wait. Lost reservation… so we were given a small adjoining room. It echoes, which quickly becomes noisy. The brunch itself is nothing special considering the setting; we were expecting something excellent. The price doesn't reflect what's offered. And it's served in small portions, requiring constant refills. A waitress lost her temper with a woman who was using the wrong spoon to serve herself, and continued making irritated remarks in front of everyone. Completely inappropriate. Nice decor. But very disappointed nonetheless.

Excellent brunch, €40, but the choice and quality were better than a typical brunch in Paris… superb desserts and a pleasant atmosphere. The only downside is that hot drinks aren't included in the price (except for one cup of espresso or tea, your choice). PS: We booked for Saturday lunchtime.

A wonderful experience at the Orangerie of the Château de Chenonceau. Friendly staff, a simple, calm, and clean setting. A set brunch buffet menu, including appetizers, main courses, cheese, and dessert. Remember to book in advance, as it gets very busy during peak periods and places fill up quickly.
