Excellent meal. The dishes were very good, but unfortunately the desserts weren't up to the same standard.

Just a basic sandwich - a half sized baguette. I chose badly as the ham and cheese was fairly tasteless and not much of it!
My husband fared better, he chose chicken which came with salad, tomatoes and hard boiled egg! However, the ice-creams we chose were delicious!!

After a wonderful visit to the Château de Cheverny, we went for a drink at the orangery and then to the orangery restaurant. A truly beautiful, enchanting place, with very friendly staff who responded to our requests with kindness. Excellent value for money. The dishes were truly excellent, as were the desserts. Thank you all! And the château tour is incredible! Do both without hesitation!

The ice cream and cakes are very expensive. We have to pay for the decor, which is sumptuous.
When I asked what was so special about the "homemade" hot drinks, I was politely told, "We make them, that's all!"... I asked if we could sit down at a table so the children could eat: "Yes, but you'll have to come back for your ice cream. We're not going to bring it to you..." I waited next to the cashier, who at least had a smile. 😃
Thanks to the waiter who, on the other hand, actually brought my tray to the table.

Beautiful room, beautiful atmosphere. The meal was decent, but the service was deplorable. We're certainly not talking about fast food, but we waited 45 minutes between ordering and the arrival of our food! So long that we skipped dessert. After a constructive conversation with the waitress, she admitted to having had a run-in with the chef at the beginning of service, claiming she was sending out too many orders... I think this gentleman has chosen the wrong profession or location, because if he can't handle 30 tables, then he should either halve the restaurant's capacity or go work for a fine-dining establishment with only 15 covers...
