Lou Caleou Next sur Sommieres

So I don't know if it was a particularly bad day but the fact is that we had our 3 courses starter main course dessert in 2 and a half hours. As much as we were told from the start that it would take a little longer than the daily menu... 2h30 was just ridiculous. 1 hour to collect entry. 1h15 for the main course 15min for dessert and we fled as soon as we could. The 2 coffees were offered to us for the wait… Despite this, the food was excellent, and the dessert was what helped calm me down. I hope it was just a mistake, we will definitely come back and I hope at that time that the service will match the food.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The only restaurant in Sommières listed by the 2024 Michelin Bib Gourmand France*. 😃 Wonderful restaurant! Very comfortable, elegant, yet relaxed atmosphere. Tables nicely spaced at a distance to allow greater intimacy and private conversation. Cuisine is absolutely delicious! I recommend the veal. The mushroom cream soup was great also. And the service was remarkable - as if choreographed to perfection, never obtrusive but there in an instant for any questions or needs. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 *In all fairness, Sommières has a number of fine restaurants to visit. Clearly this is the best restaurant in Sommieres. Every time we had a great time here! The cooking is perfectly controlled for all plates. There’s always a little surprise of flavor or texture that I really like. I have to say that the perfect egg meurette is my favorite dish this night. Meurette sauce is one of the best sauces I have eaten in my life. Too so good! And a big congratulations to the pastry chef. The coffee panna cotta is magnificent!! The only thing that bothers us a little is the waiting time. We waited an hour between the starter and main course. A point to improve! Otherwise, everything is perfect and we will definitely return.

Establishment of a modern decoration, bistro setup, market return menu at 40€ classic without surprise, very long service too bad it ruins the atmosphere...

Excellent value for money for the lunch menu at €25 starter/main course/dessert. It has become rare to find so much quality and work at this price! A big thank-you. We will come back to try the 5-course menu.

A very good restaurant. A small menu certainly but it was a real treat. The place is splendid. Behind this little door the chef does everything to please your palate. The place is really nice. A great discovery to repeat.
