Great place, we had a wonderful meal and the staff were excellent. Mathias, the manager, is very dedicated and took the time to explain the local specialties and regional products to us. Highly recommended.

We had been searching for a long time for a good Camargue bull stew (gardiane de taureau) in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. And when we discovered this restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service, both in terms of the food and the service itself! It's worth noting that, according to locals, some Camargue bull stews aren't even made with real Camargue bull meat, and even worse, some establishments buy pre-prepared dishes! 😱 It seems there are only a handful of restaurants in the town that offer genuine Camargue bull meat with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status. We had dinner at Le Lou Gabian restaurant on Sunday evening, August 2nd, as a family with our 5-year-old son. We had a very pleasant time. The meal was generous, high-quality, and delicious: we thoroughly enjoyed it! A special mention to Mathias, who offered to let our son make his own ice cream. A lovely gesture that made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable for him. A wonderful experience, with a warm welcome and attentive staff. We will definitely be back!

We were a table of eight. The service throughout the meal was excellent: the waiter was very pleasant and the food was truly delicious, thank you to them. However, the bill completely ruined this otherwise good experience. Everyone simply wanted to pay for what they had ordered, but the waiter explained that it was "easier" to divide the bill directly by eight, making it €27.69 per person. Yet, some of us had only ordered one main course, without dessert, so this division was unfair. We clearly had no choice and were practically forced to pay. He then announced, again without giving us a choice, in a very unfriendly tone. Then the calculations became incomprehensible: one person ended up paying €76 for two portions, instead of €56, and the last person paid €33.50. He then tried to absolve himself of responsibility by shifting the blame to the other customers, even though everyone knew from the start what they were supposed to pay. We were speechless. It's a real shame, because the rest of the meal had been perfect. Such a great experience shouldn't end with the bill being handled this way.

People come from Lyon every year to eat their tellines and razor clams; the atmosphere is typical of the area and very welcoming! Start with a pastis, of course!

A wonderful discovery! Despite it being the off-season, the welcome was exceptionally warm. We were served promptly in a friendly atmosphere with local accents and colors, which immediately immersed us in the region's ambiance. The bull stew was excellent, full of flavor and very authentic. A real treat. A small detail that made all the difference: with our coffee, the waiter brought us a small slice of raisin flan. A thoughtful and much-appreciated touch that demonstrates the restaurant's hospitality.
