We have known this restaurant for many years. It is always a pleasure to have lunch there, thanks to simple but carefully prepared cuisine and a friendly welcome.

A very good place, with just the right amount of variety in the menu to maintain the quality. Authentic and delicious food. Reasonable prices. Chalet-like atmosphere. We go back often.

Good evening,
I highly recommend this restaurant:
Not only is the food delicious whether you order meat or fish, but the appetizers and desserts are also excellent. Everything is generous. It's a real treat.
I avoid gluten and dairy, and they made me a fruit salad even though it wasn't on the menu, and it was divine. Furthermore, the person who made the reservation for our respective birthdays had forgotten to mention it, so they couldn't even anticipate my request… Therefore, it was all the more appreciated.
All the staff are incredibly attentive, and it was very thoughtful of them to include some olives with our aperitif, which isn't something you see everywhere… and the candle on the fruit salad, which is something that's often overlooked in some supposedly more upscale restaurants in Montpellier, even though we specifically requested it when making the reservation.
Parking is easy and free.
It's clear I intend to come back.
I thank the entire team again for making our birthday evening so enjoyable.

I've wanted to write good things about Lou Païs for a long time and well, here it is: I love it, especially their wood-fired cuttlefish with black rice + the very friendly welcome...We go there very regularly and are welcomed like family!

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant.
The atmosphere is pleasant, and we were able to eat as a large group. The service is minimal. The food is acceptable; the aligot is excellent, it just needed a few more vegetables to add some color to the plate. The tiramisu is made with whipped cream, which is completely unacceptable for a restaurant; we all found it bland.

Everything was great, the waitress was fantastic! 😉👍 The owner too!
Unfortunately for me, I wasn't hungry enough to finish my Cévennes salad 🥗 and my Pélardon cheese for dessert, but I was able to take them home 🤣.
All this after eating the starter you see in the photo.
