This is an exceptional experience not just a meal. The concept is incredible food in a relaxed atmosphere. Anne, our host and part-owner, was very accommodating, friendly and informative. The cassoulet menu was a beautifully presented meal; the still bubbling main dish was comfort food to the max.

I have been going back and forth with pleasure to Lou Tiap for years because the food is so delicious. Real cuisine, ingredients and producers that the owners of Lou Tiap know by heart. And always a warm welcome in an intimate space. I can only recommend everyone to try it.

Looking for the best cassoulet in Paris, Lou Tiap is a reference. I congratulate Olivier who must be in the kitchen and Anne who provides a tailor-made service. Count on Anne to take the time to introduce you to a South West-style food and wine pairing. (I felt like I was eating with my in-laws. If you have daughters to marry, I'm interested 😂😂😂.) More seriously I recommend: “Caçolet” as in Toulouse with Tarbais beans (IGP, C&L Ponsan-32), its four meats. It is available in the menu. But I will come back to try Lou hitge gras (foie gras, Maison Paris-40) semi-cooked by us, chutney, toast & Lou guit fat, Fat duck breast (breast, N. Joyeux- 46) with ginger and honey, potatoes, mandarin compote. I recommend 9.5/10 Enjoy your meal 😋👍👍

Standing in the doorway while Madame checked to see if we could be seated, a knowing Parisienne looked at my lame French speaking self then down at her cassoulet, pointing at the dish, then back at me and smiled. That’s the moment you know: you didn’t mean to be here, it was happenstance, but you have arrived and it will be good. Madame was delightful and we followed her suggestions for a meal that was more pleasing and delightful than the starred meal we would have the following day. The ambience was comfort without fussiness, the place spotless, the music from the kitchen like a perfect indie record store reminded us that people and their personalities create great food. It’s been three months and I still think of it; I’ll be back in a few weeks and cannot wait to see what’s for lunch. And when I move to the 20e at the end of the year, I hope to be a regular. But I will make a reservation. Merci Madame!

My boyfriend and I were in Paris for a few days and we had the pleasure of eating at this place. Beautiful dishes of excellent quality, the owner was very kind and was careful to explain the dishes to us in English (we don't know French). Excellent value for money (for 20 euros there is a menu where you can eat a first or second course, and a dessert + bread and water). Excellent meat and desserts. If I were to return to Paris, I would definitely try some other dishes!

A new discovery in Paris, this South-West restaurant borders on excellence. It's been a long time since we ate this well. An extraordinary welcome and kindness like never before.
