L'Ouvrée sur Savigny-Les-Beaune

A lovely meal in Savigny-lès-Beaune at a hotel-restaurant we stumbled upon. A delightful discovery! Several set menus at different prices depending on your preferences (number of courses, wines, etc.)... but venturing into the unknown was a bit of a gamble. And that's the only problem. It was impossible to know what we were going to eat, except for fish or meat. So, unfortunately, we opted for the first set menu, which had excellent dishes, but we didn't want to "write a blank check," and we won't be returning because of that. The starter was very good, the fish and meat were excellent, and the dessert... well, you either love it or you don't... but it was well-prepared, with some very good extras. The dining room was lovely. The welcome and service were perfect and efficient. Overall, we were very happy, but well... we like to know what to expect!

Great hotel with a fantastic restaurant. We had room 12. Clean, spacious, good bed, parking. Highly recommended, located in a charming little wine-growing village near Beaune.

Wow, what a cozy, relaxing, and beautiful hotel! Late in the day, we accidentally booked this hotel as a stopover. Exceptionally good and friendly service from the owner, despite our late booking and late arrival (after 8:00 PM). Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed (on Wednesdays), but the owner made sure we had a delicious meal. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and, instead of rushing on, took a long walk through beautiful Savigny-les-Beaune. Thanks to the delicious breakfast and walk, we continued our journey later, fully recharged, rested, and feeling satisfied. A hotel and setting to enjoy for several days in a row.
