The interior decor is beautiful and comes alive from time to time. It's a shame the exterior is practically abandoned. The seats near the entrance could use a screen to avoid the unpleasant feeling every time the door opens. Food-wise: The sharing platter of galettes is a very good idea and excellent. The sweet cider is very good and served in bowls made in Alsace. The galettes are also very good. However, it would be helpful to list all the ingredients in the galette, even if it's just cheese, because my son ordered the special foie gras galette (Christmas season) and nothing was specified. He's not allergic, but he doesn't eat foie gras. Otherwise, he wouldn't have ordered it. So we took the leftovers home to finish, since the special galette had a... special price.

It's always a great pleasure to enjoy the crêpes and galettes offered by the Mad Avel team. Since the restaurant opened, I've been a regular, drawn by the quality of the food and the daily specials, as well as the very friendly "pirate" atmosphere. Everything is there to transport you to another world: the decor, the music, the occasional cannon fire... Kudos to Stéphane and his entire team!
