As a baker, I can say that the breads here are of the highest quality, some cakes look good, I haven't tasted them, the breads are really, really good.

Maison Pozzoli is a curious place.
As a regular customer, I have a real soft spot for this bakery, and believe me, I'm the first to admit it... The place itself has a "traditional bakery" look that perfectly catches the eye of us little gourmands, and, not surprisingly, when you approach the sandwich counter, you realize it's going to be difficult to choose between the classic ham and butter sandwich and the classic quiche, because the choices are overwhelming. A wide variety of sandwiches are offered, and that's a good thing because, having tasted a few, I can say they're all equally delicious. By "good" I mean "I'm leaving the train station, I have to rush to work, grab a sandwich! Hmm, Maison Pozzoli, OK, not bad, that'll do," and not "Oh my god, it's so good, I'm taking out a bank loan to invest in this place, please let me eat the unsold items." Does that mean I recommend it? Not particularly. The quality is quite ordinary, nothing extravagant or tasteful, it's neither good nor bad. Pozzoli has the advantage of being where it is, in the right place, with a good-looking storefront. However, be careful not to rest on your laurels, you, Maison Pozzoli, I'm talking to you here. As pleasant as the service is, the discrepancy between the price and the quality of your products can sometimes frustrate me... Am I disappointed, though? No, I can put things in perspective and set my ego aside. I'm neither a baker nor a shopkeeper, and I have no right to lecture you... Will I come back? Yes, probably several times. You're in the right place, well-located enough that you'll always be my first choice for lunch...

This is the third time we've been there. Quality products, for my part their flan is the best in Lyon, top-notch welcome. Honestly, it's the place to be.
