Maison Sarroche sur La Garde

The quality of the products was excellent, truly delicious. However, the service from one of the saleswomen was terrible; I felt like I was bothering her and didn't even dare ask questions. She sighed and didn't look at me, even though I spent over €20 on pastries…

We bought several pastries and, unfortunately, the chocolate éclair wasn't fresh: the pastry was dry and the pastry cream grainy, giving the impression of a day-old or defrosted product. At €4.80, it's really disappointing and not up to the reputation of this bakery. I mentioned it this morning when I came to pick up my bread and specified that I'm a regular customer, but I received neither an apology nor any gesture of goodwill. I was simply told that it would be "reported." The result: a huge disappointment, especially regarding the customer service.

Pleasant for a tea or coffee break. A nice touch would have been not drinking from cups; real dishes are more pleasant when you're staying there.

Bakery that has very good Viking bread. Worth trying.
