Charming hotel in the heart of the Garrigue. Don’t hesitate to have breakfast included and eat at the hotel restaurant. Everything is delicious, we enjoyed ourselves. In addition, the staff is very attentive and cheerful. Thank you for this family time.

We had dinner on Wednesday August 7 at Mas de Baumes for a family event. Here are some impressions:
• magnificent place lost in the scrubland
• a disappointment upon arrival: is it really essential to inflict a musical “atmosphere” in such a beautiful place?
• at the aperitif, the 2 port lovers were frustrated by the homeopathic dose served
• when ordering, the waiter begins by listing the dishes that are not available, yet it is only 7:30 p.m. and the restaurant is far from full... Wine lovers are quickly disappointed because the wine list is very limited (only 3 white wines offered): the waiter explains to us that the cellar is in the process of being renewed. It would have been good to have informed me of this during my telephone call before booking... This disappointment was all the greater as one of the guests had recently received an email from Mas de Baumes with the subject line "News and upcoming events" of which here is an extract: "New wine cellar: Our cellar will offer a majority of estates from the Gard and Hérault region.
With soon more than 500 references from the best local estates, we want to become a reference in wine. ". It would have been good to specify from what date a wine list worthy of the name would be offered!
• the starter is tasty and beautifully presented
• the octopus arancini did not convince us: quite bland and lacking in lightness
• the desserts were appreciated but without much surprise
• when ordering alcohol, the waiter explained to us that only one limoncello could be served: another stock problem…
• finally, during the night following this dinner, 3 out of 6 guests will feel a strong intestinal disturbance.
I called the restaurant the next evening to report the problem, the manager replied that he would investigate and call me back, to no avail to date (August 11).
I also shared with him our disappointment regarding the wine list and the dosage of ports, he replied that the cellar was in "transition".
We subsequently learned that there had been a recent change of ownership, which is undoubtedly the explanation for this very disappointing experience in a place previously very popular with gourmets.

Privatization of the estate for a wedding weekend. Magnificent place despite unpredictable weather. Excellent buffet, dishes and lunch the next day, complimented by all the guests. Real efforts to adapt to particular diets, which do not just consist of removing foods, therefore perfect for vegetarians and vegans. Very nice swimming pool
Negative points: swimming pool barrier which does not close properly so children must be closely monitored. No toilet paper and soap in all the rooms and all the toilets, and no shutters or blackout curtains in several rooms (including the one recommended for newlyweds) so it is very difficult to sleep.

We came this Friday August 2 for dinner at the Mas. We have a rather mixed opinion.
The restaurant setting was really beautiful with a nice view.
The whole meal was good, except for the black forest summer version which was simple.
Regarding the service, it was a disaster! We arrived around 8 p.m., we waited 30-40 minutes for our order to be taken, without being offered anything to drink. The starter arrived quickly but we had to remind the waiter that we had not had the appetizer included in the Hortus menu. Then wait again for 30-45 minutes for the dish. In addition, a big storm broke out, we were deprived of the terrace despite our request to draw the curtain of the arbor, we were refused with all the other customers inside, we were therefore tight… given the time and the proximity With the other customers, we took away dessert. Disappointing in the end, no commercial gesture on the supplement of desserts outside the formula for the long wait etc...

Our wedding at Mas de Baumes went wonderfully. The place, with its different spaces (outdoors for the cocktail, semi-covered for the meal), delighted our guests with its authentic beauty and its calm. The entire team was very professional and accommodating from start to finish, with a special mention for Stéphanie, Marc and Geoffroy. The marquee, about which we initially had doubts from an aesthetic point of view, allowed us not to fear the vagaries of the weather. Once decorated, the result was perfect. We were able to accommodate almost 40 people on site in comfortable rooms, some recently renovated. The quality of the food was largely there, both at the cocktail and at the meal, and the crispy chocolate cake was simply magnificently presented and very tasty! We recommend the cuttlefish à la plancha workshop +++ Our guests really enjoyed it! As well as the burger workshop at brunch: perfect for the day after a party!
Thank you Chef Flament for all these flavors! We wish you and Stéphanie a safe journey, and for the future newlyweds who are reading us, check out the Instagram of this place which has not finished revealing itself!

Reservation on a Friday evening, with a meal imposed by the wonderbox. We arrived in a magnificent setting, very well received, apart from the menu, the meal was succulent, beautiful and very well presented. We had an excellent evening . Great service, simple welcoming, very pleasant.
Very nice surprise and discovery and I really want to go back.

Merci au GPS de nous mener dans ce lieu isolé, magique, où nous sommes au cœur de cette campagne Héraultaise.
Salles, jardin, locaux sont très accueillants.
Notre serveur très agréable nous a proposé des mets très bien présentés, avec des goûts et des mélanges qui ont éveillé nos papilles.
Nous classons ce restaurant dans la catégorie des très bons d’Occitanie.

Je recommande vivement à tout le monde ! Entre l’endroit, les chambres, le restaurant, et l’excellent maître d’hôtel, nous ne pouvons passer qu’un excellent moment.
Tout est parfait.
Et petit + pour ceux qui font le GT34, l’hôtel se trouve pile poil sur le chemin!
