Mathuzar sur Valence

I've been to this restaurant several times now, and it's always a real pleasure! 😊 Everything is perfect: a beautiful terrace, a pleasant setting, a great atmosphere, and above all, staff who are always welcoming and attentive. A special mention to Mr. Sébastien and Ms. Chloé for their kindness, professionalism, and good humor, which make every visit even more enjoyable. Always top-notch, I'll definitely be back! 👏

We had lunch on the terrace. It was very pleasant. The set menu (main/dessert) was €23, which I found a bit pricey. The service wasn't perfect. We had to wait for bread, and my dessert was mixed up with the others. Not a big deal, though, as the other dessert was also good. The main course was very good. A quality restaurant overall. The service just needs some fine-tuning.

An evening with friends on the terrace by the stream: a delight, both for the palate and the eyes. The menu is fairly classic (it could use a bit more creativity and variety) but the dishes were very enjoyable. I'll gladly return.

Very disappointed with the meal. We would have liked to eat on the terrace, but there were 25 people ahead of us. This should have been specified on the reservation, as it wasn't indicated or offered. We repeatedly asked for the music to be turned down, as we were with elderly people, but this wasn't done. The dishes are very expensive for what is essentially a restaurant in a hotel near a main road. The service was mediocre; we had to ask for glasses, sauce, etc. I do not recommend it.

This restaurant is part of the Novotel Sud. Breakfast is served until 10:00 AM and dinner from 7:00 PM. The service is good, and the staff are friendly and efficient. The menu is concise and only interesting for about three evenings. Until then, the dishes are excellent; they are impeccably prepared, served promptly, and very tasty. There is no daily specials menu or changing set menus.

A wonderful discovery! This restaurant is in a magnificent setting. Once you're on the terrace, it's hard to believe you're in Valence! The food and cocktails were excellent, and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be back! Thank you for seating us by the water for our birthday. ☺️

Having visited Valence very often, I particularly appreciate Mathuzar for its superb, verdant terrace overlooking the river, the quality of its cuisine, and the friendliness of the staff. A big thank you to Chloé and the rest of the team for their good humor and impeccable service.

Fantastic place. Staff, food, atmosphere—everything is top-notch. Well done! Anyway, given how busy it is, if you don't book, there's no room, but there's no secret to it!
