My first experience at Messob restaurant, I really enjoyed the decor and the Ethiopian cuisine. It was a delight, and the traditional sharing dish was very generous 😋👍 The bissap and coffee were also very good. And I thank the waiter who accepted us without a reservation.

Impeccable service. The staff is attentive and very pleasant. The food is delicious, and we received excellent recommendations. The dining room's decor immerses you in an Ethiopian atmosphere. We had a wonderful time. We recommend the Yestom Beyeyneitu with Doro Wot and Tibs. ለዚህ ምሽት አመሰግናለሁ

Traveling to Ethiopia without actually going to Ethiopia. The concept of a typical Ethiopian meal is truly authentic: eating several dishes with your fingers, using a kind of crepe, all in an atmosphere that immerses you even further in Ethiopian culture. Each dish was delicious, the meats perfectly seasoned, and the vegetables succulent. Every element of the decor is beautiful and original, and the lingering scent of incense is pleasant. The very friendly waiter explained how to enjoy the meal and recommended a tasting platter, as it was our first time eating Ethiopian food. I highly recommend it.

One of my favourite restaurants in Lyon, I've been here around ten times already and still come at every given opportunity.

Delicious and authentic. Every dish was exemplary. Serving size was generous with no sacrifice to quality. We ordered the non-vegetarian sampler and the only disappointment was that I had no room to finish every single bite and that I did not save room for dessert.

I expected it to be good – specialty restaurants always are – but this restaurant is truly exceptional. I highly recommend it; we thoroughly enjoyed the food.

29/07/2026: Simply exceptional! The daily special was the best fries I've ever had in my life! The appetizers reminded us of Wednesdays at Grandma's. And the owner, Ali, is a wonderful host and generous in both his heart and his business! Thank you!
