Dining at Messob is always an exceptional experience. Stepping through the door is a true journey: the superb decor, the music, and the scent of incense transport you to another world. The service is warm and attentive; and the food is delicious, rich in flavor, surprising, and generous.

A wonderful culinary experience this evening at Messob. A very warm welcome, lovely decor, and a dining room with a very pleasant high ceiling. We hadn't made a reservation, but since we arrived right when they opened, we were able to stay. It's advisable to book, as the tables are always full. You can converse normally without raising your voice; it's not noisy, and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Since it was my first time trying Ethiopian cuisine, we ordered the tasting platter plus beg wot (slow-cooked lamb stew). Wow! It was absolutely delicious. Each dish was perfectly seasoned, spiced, and flavorful—just the right amount. The flatbreads were light and easy to eat with your hands; you just have to go for it, and it goes down a treat! The bissap (non-alcoholic) was excellent! The chef even kindly and willingly shared his recipe with us. Thank you again! We'll definitely be back to try the other dishes!
