Three years later: you could say they've made an effort! The tables and seats are clean. The staff were dressed as Mario characters for the movie release and handed out coloring pages for the children. The restaurant is always nicely decorated for holidays (Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day), and the staff is welcoming. Just another McDonald's. One of the two Happy Meals was missing the nuggets, and there were no napkins either. The restaurant floor and tables were very dirty.
