When I mentioned wanting to use the restroom while making a purchase, I was given a special coin. There's a 50-cent coin symbol on the stall door, so non-purchasers might need to pay. You can't see inside without inserting the coin, and it wasn't exactly a clean restroom. Nearby public restrooms had feces on the ground and dirty toilet seats, so this was still a relief. The store was empty in the evening, but the area felt unsafe, with begging children circulating.

This is just a regular McDonald's. I'm surprised the restrooms cost money, since we're already paying for our meals, and the least they could do is make it free. Is this a Parisian standard?
