Super warm place, a beautiful fire in the fireplace and a gentle fireworks display and pairings on the plate. First top menu. A snack for an aperitif, an appetizer, an extraordinary pork cheek, a perfect cod fillet with good cheese and a pavlova which has only one fault: being too small. Very good cuisine, very fine, beautiful presentation, quiet and cozy place housed in a very small magnificent village, surrounded by stone houses on the mountainside... Long service at the start of the meal but once served, the dishes went well chained.

Very good gourmet restaurant in a charming village. Valentine's Day menu worth the price. Restaurant room with pleasant decor and fireplace. We have been here before and we will come again.

Best restaurant meal in my 40+ years. We had a special “high-end” Valentine’s Day menu. The price is commensurate with the quality of the dishes. We had a great time, no false notes, discovery of flavors and a very nice wine list. Congratulations to the chef and his entire team. We will gladly come back. THANKS

Des plats bons et joliment présentés, un bonne ambiance chaleureuse et une serveuse appliquant les codes de restauration. Je recommande. Les entrées sont très bonnes mais la quantité est un peu faible à mon sens. C'est le seul point négatif à noter.

A small restaurant, classy but somewhat sterile decorated with harsh white light. The open woodfire made it a bit more cosy. The appetizer was a lovely small portion of creamy potage de foi grass very good. 3 menu's to chose from entree, main dish, fromage and desert. €45, €55 and €68. And a la carte. My company of 6 had the €45 and €68 All was presented very nice in modest portions and tastefull (a good choise of the chef to be modest with the salt, I prefered a bit more and added what more for my palet) The desserts were lovely I was a bit disappointed with mine for the fondant chocolat was not as runny as it should be) and my company chose a lovely dish with pear foam that was delicious. We decided to have just a glass of wine, a nice wine...a grand cru for €13 a glass. I will certainly come back.

Nous étions au Médiéval dans le cadre d’un week-end à Saulieu et avons pu découvrir la cuisine du chef pour le repas du nouvel an Un menu en 7 temps qui nous a régalé du début à la fin, avec une carte qui fait la part belle aux produits saisonniers et une carte des vins à tous les prix, avec un large choix de vins de bourgogne Mention spéciale au rapport qualité prix tout simplement exceptionnel pour ce niveau de cuisine. Bravo au service d’avoir réussi à coordonner autant de plats pour autant de convives ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir

On adore cet endroit : cuisine traditionnelle bourguignonne mais revisitée avec beaucoup de créativité et de finesse. Un endroit agréable avec la cheminée en agrément à cette saison. Et service charmant.
