Mercure Bordeaux Aeroport Restaurant sur Merignac

The rooms were adequate and well soundproofed, but the bathrooms were basic and a bit cleaner (there was a hair in the bathtub). The location was ideal. The parking lot was huge and secure. The downside was the room service. Mercure prices are fine. But there's a gap between the photos and the reality, which this hotel doesn't seem to have. (Just compare the photo of the dish and what you get.) The "tomato and burrata trio" consisted of a single, tasteless tomato and burrata. The gravlax was shameful. It was made up of tiny pieces of salmon (we weren't even sure it was salmon) that were incredibly salty and tasted like nothing but salt. The photos speak for themselves… We had to ask for one of the desserts that was on the bill but wasn't served. (The chocolate mousse had no chocolate flavor.) In short, it would be okay for one night, but without the appalling room service. They might as well have done nothing at all than charged for this kind of meal.

Beautiful, comfortable rooms, a restaurant serving excellent food, a superb breakfast, and a very friendly bartender.

The hotel is well located, close to the airport with a direct tram line to the city center. The staff was very welcoming, and the breakfast was good. My husband and I enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful hotel, nicely renovated inside. The restaurant was very mediocre; the daily special was really disappointing. Half a young rooster with a tiny leg and a bit of breast meat, all undercooked!

Superb establishment, top-notch, and a very warm welcome from Lucas, it was very pleasant!

After a long journey, coming from Western Australia, we found the airport shuttle by pure accident, as the hotel had not responded twice to our request for a pick-up. However, the gentleman who picked us up, was very friendly and courteous; furthermore, the Frontdesk Manager immediately took note to ensure this would not happen in future and apologised profusely. Due to our jetlag, we left the hotel the next morning and forgot 1 of our 5 suitcases... Both Lucas and Thomas reassured us verbally over the phone not to worry, as we could return and pick it up at our own convenience; they had found our missing luggage and stored it securely in their luggage room. The customer service you receive from the staff is absolutely fabulous; this makes you forget the dated feel & look of the rooms.

Lovely room, good parking, location good for airport, poor breakfast

We stayed for one night at this Mercure after a late arrival at Bordeaux Airport. Easily walked to the hotel. Our room was comfortable, quiet and warm on a cold night. Enjoyed a drink at the bar and a hearty breakfast. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend it.
