Metsens sur Bordeaux

A very pleasant surprise during our stay in Bordeaux. The restaurant is simple but good, and the service is quick. Perhaps not in the best location.

Convenient if you want to eat near the train station.

Thank you to the wonderful gentleman in the bow tie! 🫶 We work in an office next to this restaurant, and they didn't have a takeaway service, but this gentleman found a solution for us and kindly brought our meals to our office. 🫶 The dishes were delicious and generous, and he even brought us a small basket of bread with sauces. This friendly restaurant came directly to us, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! I highly recommend it!! See you soon, Shirley and Anais 😊

Both chose the menu of the day The starter was either hummus with green pesto sauce, too much pesto sauce and nothing but baguette to dip in the hummus, Second option prawns with their shells, 5 or 6 of them served green salad with a drizzle of balsamic cream. No sauce. No dish driven to dispose off the shells, had to ask. Main dish was fish served with cauliflower mash purée that tasted more potatoes than cauliflower. Well seasoned and well cooked. Service was alright, had to ask them to close the front door as it stayed open, windy and cold outside… Overall, a good spot for a quick lunch.
