We had a wonderful time at Lake Méribel. We took advantage of the open spaces to have a barbecue in a friendly, family atmosphere. Despite the barbecue smoke, the atmosphere was very pleasant, with many people enjoying the beautiful weather in good spirits. The setting is lovely and perfect for relaxing with friends or family. We will gladly return.

Morlet Beach is free. If you arrive around 11:30 am, there are large trees where you can sit in the shade. It's a gravel/small pebble beach, so building sandcastles isn't possible. This year there's a lot of seaweed on the surface of the supervised swimming area. There's also seaweed on the seabed. As a result, the water is very warm. Living in Lyon, we come here as often as we can to cool off.

Very close to Lyon.
15 minutes by car.
It's a very pleasant place, perfect for outdoor activities.
You can picnic, walk, and swim.
People are quite respectful of the area. There are several beaches, each with its own unique character.
I have a preference for Fontanil beach, which is family-friendly and shaded.
It's kind of my summer hideaway to escape the oppressive heat of the city.

Beautiful park, it's a shame that incivilities spoil it, rubbish thrown on the ground even though there are bins and other nuisances due to certain people.
