New Orleans Cafe sur Lourdes

This café-restaurant has everything going for it: a location just minutes from the sanctuary, an outdoor area, and a spacious interior. The food is decent and served in a reasonable timeframe despite the number of customers. However, the major drawback is the waiter, who is unpleasant, makes comments as soon as you order, trying to get a tip, and negatively comments on everything you order. At first, I thought it was just a bit of offbeat humor, but no! The other diners seemed perfectly normal. Perhaps it was the pressure, but all the tables around me had the same experience.

A very warm and friendly welcome. The set menu was good and generous. The service was very professional and quick. There was hardly any wait. The restaurant's decor is unique, New Orleans-style, with photos and figures from jazz and blues. Every time we come to Lourdes, we will stop by for a meal.

Excellent paella and great location just steps from the sanctuary

We ordered the daily special, chicken with sauce, and swapped the potatoes for salad and a fried egg with salad, plus coffee. It was delicious and the staff were very friendly and respectful. The service was very fast and the place was very clean. There was a great variety of food to choose from, and the portions were large. There's no parking. I recommend it!

We went for a late afternoon/early dinner, the service was great, the portions were generous, and the food was delicious at reasonable prices! We'll be back! 😎

Nice restaurant located near the sanctuary and main landmarks. The service was quite fast and the food was delicious. The seafood paella didn’t disappoint !
