New Palais sur Dax

A wonderful discovery during a visit to Dax. A warm atmosphere, a charming period bar, and delicious food. Special mention to the "uncle" who took such good care of the children...as our little one said: "He's a kind gentleman!" Good value for money in terms of food, pleasant location and terrace. Service needs improvement; the staff were friendly but slow and requests were not fulfilled (requests for bread and pepper never arrived).

I was very pleasantly surprised by the food at this brasserie. The eggs mayonnaise were delicious, and the Italian-style beef tartare was really well prepared. It's a shame the service wasn't up to par; we waited over 30 minutes between the starter and the main courses. The tables around us were served before us, and then when I asked for pepper and bread, they said yes, and I had time to finish my meal without receiving them. A big thank you to the chef for his cooking. I hope this was just bad luck and doesn't reflect the overall quality of the establishment.

Hello, the bar staff should have waited until the customers had left because closing the parasols while customers are still on the terrace isn't appropriate. It gives the impression that the customers are bothering them and that the staff are in a hurry to leave. The owner needs to seriously reconsider this if he doesn't want to lose customers; it would be a shame. Good evening.
