There are two large brasseries in the neighborhood; this one and the other one on the square are tourist traps... This one is just perfect. Just avoid the other one.

We arrived without a reservation and they seated us right away. We had the daily special, sea bream with potatoes and mushrooms. It was delicious, very quick, and the service was excellent. Friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Great value for money. Highly recommended.

A great choice for dinner in the center of Pau. Lively atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. The tapas, beautifully presented, were delicious. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

17/08/2026: It seems like a fairly family-friendly bar; the waitress is very nice, although she only speaks French, no Spanish or English. The food was tasty, and the prices were very similar to those in the area, which, from what I saw, tend to be slightly higher than in Spain. Keep in mind that in France they eat a little earlier, and if you go after 2 pm, some dishes might be sold out.
13/08/2026: The Basque salad is good. It's a shame the dressing isn't homemade. The beef is excellent and the fries are great! However, the wait is very long since the owner is the only one running the show. But she is very pleasant and smiling.

24/08/2026: Beautiful house, impeccable service, and excellent cuisine, cooked to perfection. Not to be missed.
24/08/2026: The setting was very pleasant and we enjoyed our meal. The service was quick and the wait time for each course was clearly indicated, which was a plus. The non-smoking terrace was also very welcome. The only slight drawback was the prices, which seemed a little high.
