18/06/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great experience! I had a Kasdal and a hamburger, and both were excellent. The Kasdal was very flavorful and made with quality ingredients. The hamburger was also delicious, with perfectly cooked meat and a soft bun. A big thank you to the owner who was super friendly, smiling, and very helpful. You feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Fast service, generous portions, and a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend this fast-food restaurant! 👌🍔🥙⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

31/07/2026: Impressive from start to finish. Without a doubt, a truly 5-star place. Starter: We ordered the foie gras and it was, without exaggeration, the best we've ever had. Main course: The Canard Rossini is a must-order, a true marvel of flavor and texture. Grilled meat: The meat was perfect, but the potatoes, served as tartare, were simply amazing. Dessert: The crème brûlée was excellent and the perfect ending to the meal. The quality of the food and the service make for a perfect 10/10 experience. We'll definitely be back! Something that's often overlooked, the staff's service was 10/10—friendly and incredibly kind.

26/07/2026: Honestly, we went to this restaurant with a friend to see what it was like because we love meat and duck. We weren't disappointed; the portions were really generous, the meat was delicious, and the duck was excellent (yes, we each ordered two dishes because we're big eaters 😅). And honestly, for four of us, with a bottle of wine and two beers each as an aperitif, along with a charcuterie and cheese platter, we paid the equivalent of €50 per person. For the experience and the quality, it's fantastic value for money. The manager is very friendly and accommodating, and the young waitress and waiter are very kind, polite, and attentive. We highly recommend it!

We enjoyed a delicious trout tartare, a chicken supreme, a pork tenderloin, and baby squid: each dish was a resounding success. The cooking was perfectly executed, with a special mention for the chicken and pork, which were remarkably tender. The quality of the ingredients and the skill of the kitchen are evident in every dish. It was so good that I even ordered the trout tartare for dessert… a first for me, but what a delightful surprise! The modern decor also creates a wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant. Finally, the service deserves special mention: a professional, friendly, and attentive team, truly dedicated to their guests. An exceptional experience that we highly recommend. 20/07/2026: A delicious lunch break on Sunday. This restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. An excellent set menu for €23. I also really enjoyed the non-alcoholic beer. It was very nice to be able to enjoy a real beer when you have to get back on the road.

10/06/2026: Excellent place, I've been several times and it's always very good, generous portions, and affordable. The service is always excellent. The facade is currently being renovated, but I called and they confirmed it was open, and I wasn't disappointed.

29/07/2026: We discovered this restaurant during a previous stay in Pau three years ago. We were happy to stop by again on a Saturday at lunchtime. Prices have increased considerably in three years, but so has everything else (thanks to inflation!). We had the set menu (starter/main/dessert) for €22. Individual dishes are around €20 (€19 for a homemade burger and fries). The children's menu is €12 and includes crispy chicken and fries, and a scoop of ice cream or panna cotta. The servers were pleasant, although the service seemed a little slow. However, the quality of the food is still excellent; the dishes are delicious and beautifully presented. We had a lovely time.

06/07/2026: They have a very complete set menu for €17, including dessert and tea, and I found the value for money to be excellent. The restaurant is pleasant and the food is well-prepared. We tried hummus, tabbouleh, and moussaka as starters, and a lamb shawarma as a main course. Everything was delicious, especially the lamb. The only problem was the wait time. Almost an hour passed between the first and second courses, even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. I understand that some dishes may require more preparation time, but in those cases, the proper thing to do is to come to the table, inform us of the delay, and apologize. A simple explanation, such as that they were finishing preparing the lamb, would have been sufficient. On the plus side, when I mentioned the situation to the waiter, he made a thoughtful gesture that we greatly appreciated: he offered us a pistachio and honey cake as compensation for the wait and apologized very kindly. This gesture demonstrates professionalism and was much appreciated. However, there was one detail that marred the experience. The manager, who was at a nearby table, made a comment in French about Spaniards and their supposed lack of patience. I understand a little French, and I found it a very unfortunate and inappropriate remark. Customers deserve respect, regardless of their nationality, and these kinds of comments shouldn't be made, especially when the wait has been objectively long. In short, the food was worth it, and the waiter acted impeccably, but it would be important to improve the management of wait times and communication with customers, as well as to be more mindful of the attitude and comments of the staff in charge. Anyone can have a bad day.

25/04/2026: My review has changed slightly since it doesn't directly concern the restaurant on Rue Valéry Meunier, but rather the fact that they came to La Forge Moderne last night. They offered several small dishes for €6, which were very varied and suitable for all dietary needs. These dishes were very good; I tried two: the ravioli and the tart. The service was quick; I think everything was already prepared or nearly so. My friend ordered the taloa and the chocolate cake, which also looked delicious. Furthermore, I found the restaurant owners to be very friendly. :) It would be great if you came back!

The atmosphere was perfect: both energetic and very welcoming, with a relaxed and comfortable vibe. A huge shout-out to our server, Paul!
