To be honest, we didn’t regret it at all! The food was absolutely amazing and delicious, including the desserts, and the service was excellent too. We 100% recommend it and will definitely come back the next time we’re in Pau!

30/08/2026: ❤️ A real gem in Pau! We had an exceptional time at Henri IV, in the heart of the Château district. From the moment we arrived, we received a very warm welcome and were taken care of by a lovely, smiling, and attentive team. As for the food, we were simply delighted! Delicious, beautifully presented, and generous portions, all served in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. You can really feel their desire to please and offer a wonderful experience to their customers. A place where you come to eat well, but above all, where you leave with a smile. 😊 Thank you to the whole team for this fantastic time! We will definitely be back and we 100% recommend Henri IV to anyone who wants to have a great time in Pau. 👏🍽️❤️

30/08/2026: We had a lovely experience last night on the terrace. The food (starter and main course) was full of flavor and texture. We also enjoyed the Prosecco. However, we found the staff a bit uninspiring, the Prosecco glasses outdated (even though the wine glasses were very attractive – it's increasingly trendy in restaurants to serve Champagne or Prosecco in wine glasses), and the three-chocolate dessert didn't really taste like chocolate (no chocolate aroma at all), especially considering the bill was close to €120. But overall, a great experience. Thank you.

11/09/2026: A nice place for a simple meal in Pau. I had a crêpe with a salad, and everything was fresh, tasty and well prepared. There was nothing particularly memorable or surprising about the meal, but equally nothing to complain about. The ingredients were fresh, the food was good, and I left perfectly satisfied. A solid, pleasant crêperie that I would happily recommend if you’re looking for a good and uncomplicated meal.

The quality of the products is truly top-notch: fresh, flavorful ingredients, and a real attention to detail. And a special mention for Jeff, who is a particularly attentive waiter. He knows how to make people feel comfortable, always with a smile and a touch of humor that makes the experience even more enjoyable! 😊 A place I wholeheartedly recommend and where I will gladly return!

12/09/2026: Excellent place to eat. The set menu (starter, dessert, and lunch) was €23 for a weeknight – truly fantastic! Originality on the plate, more than generous portions, a magnificent view of the Pyrenees, and a young and friendly team. What more could you ask for?

06/07/2026: They have a very complete set menu for €17, including dessert and tea, and I found the value for money to be excellent. The restaurant is pleasant and the food is well-prepared. We tried hummus, tabbouleh, and moussaka as starters, and a lamb shawarma as a main course. Everything was delicious, especially the lamb. The only problem was the wait time. Almost an hour passed between the first and second courses, even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. I understand that some dishes may require more preparation time, but in those cases, the proper thing to do is to come to the table, inform us of the delay, and apologize. A simple explanation, such as that they were finishing preparing the lamb, would have been sufficient. On the plus side, when I mentioned the situation to the waiter, he made a thoughtful gesture that we greatly appreciated: he offered us a pistachio and honey cake as compensation for the wait and apologized very kindly. This gesture demonstrates professionalism and was much appreciated. However, there was one detail that marred the experience. The manager, who was at a nearby table, made a comment in French about Spaniards and their supposed lack of patience. I understand a little French, and I found it a very unfortunate and inappropriate remark. Customers deserve respect, regardless of their nationality, and these kinds of comments shouldn't be made, especially when the wait has been objectively long. In short, the food was worth it, and the waiter acted impeccably, but it would be important to improve the management of wait times and communication with customers, as well as to be more mindful of the attitude and comments of the staff in charge. Anyone can have a bad day.
