Novotel Cafe sur Le Havre

I loved almost everything about my stay at the Novotel Le Havre. The staff was welcoming and always ready to meet my needs. The room was clean and the room service was excellent. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was really good with a varied selection. My only issue was the room temperature, as there were no windows (I had a suite, with a door opening onto a balcony in the living area). It was 25°C in the room (I had a thermometer), much too hot to sleep. Around 19°C is recommended for a good night's sleep. I was informed that management doesn't turn on the air conditioning until the end of May. The staff, who unfortunately had no control over turning the air conditioning on, lent me a fan, which allowed me to cool the room when I was out by leaving the balcony door open, but I had to close it at night because of the noise from the street.

Despite friendly staff, a good location, and comfortable bedding, we had a terrible night due to the stifling heat in the room. Contrary to what is stated on the hotel's information sheet, the air conditioning is completely unavailable (it was turned off because it wasn't hot enough outside, according to the receptionist), and the heat in the rooms is almost unbearable. Not what you'd expect from a 4-star Novotel in this respect.

I dedicate these five stars to Emma, ​​Marine, and David for their professionalism, kindness, and helpfulness! I had a very pleasant stay with my family and I will gladly return!

A decline in quality was observed during this stay despite the highly motivated and dedicated staff, particularly at reception and in the restaurant. The hotel exterior was dirty, the elevators poorly maintained, the restaurant closed, our room was left unlocked (twice), there was no longer an agreement with the neighboring parking lot, and we had to request the promised services… This is a beautiful establishment that, until now, had provided us with complete satisfaction (4-star Accor rating). Fortunately, the staff's motivation and professionalism made for an overall pleasant stay. Profitability = decline in quality?

We stayed at this hotel for the second time, and the welcome was just as warm as ever. The staff met all our expectations with great kindness and professionalism. The hotel is impeccably clean, which allowed us to fully enjoy our stay. Furthermore, its location is ideal. I highly recommend it!

We appreciated the very warm welcome we received upon our arrival on a Saturday afternoon. We also greatly enjoyed the upgrade to an executive room on the 6th floor, which was very bright. However, some aspects disappointed us. The bedding had a plastic mattress protector that made a rustling noise with the slightest movement. As a result, we slept poorly, which is a shame because a comfortable night's sleep is essential during a hotel stay. Furthermore, the refrigerator in the room was empty, and the Nespresso machine had clearly not been checked: there was still water and capsules left over from the previous guests.

I came for a choir rehearsal. The room was pleasant, the restaurant decent, but above all, the service exceeded a 4-star standard thanks to Marion, the lunchtime waitress (approachable, attentive, and efficient), and Jordan, the receptionist for the day (welcoming, smiling, and very helpful), who also acted as bartender in his colleague's absence – a truly excellent team! Thank you, Novotel Le Havre; we will gladly return.

Unfortunately, I can't give a full review of the hotel as we only came for a trade show, although the establishment is very beautiful and well-appointed. However, I wanted to highlight the excellent welcome and service from Jordan. Although he's a receptionist, he seated us at the bar after our day and took our order with great kindness and professionalism, always with a smile. A very pleasant experience that deserves to be mentioned. Thank you!
