First discovery for me of Reunionese cuisine and I am very satisfied to have discovered this restaurant. At the start of the winter period, nothing beats taking a detour to O Maloya Cho to warm up, because all the conditions are there! A warm welcome from the boss and cook, a rum to whet your appetite, typical dishes enhanced with a delicious chili to spice things up. Go for it without hesitation!

I came to eat o maloya cho, I honestly enjoyed my taste, you can find all the flavors you were looking for, I highly recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed, thank you to the owner for his welcome and his kindness

Especially if you are in Bordeaux, don’t hesitate to open the door. Preferably with a small reservation in advance because as indicated everything is extremely fresh and homemade. An exceptional culinary journey. Small rum aperitif arranged with the flavors of the islands, menu with sweets as a starter (samosa, spring roll, steamed bite) followed by a shrimp curry to hit your behind on the beach, and to finish warm coconut cake. Quality products with lots of flavors: lemongrass, curry, combava... More than reasonable price, even laughable given the quality of the food. Very quiet restaurant and to top it all off, Hugh the owner of rare kindness. A must do whether you are passing through or living in the city. I recommend +++

Excellent restaurant, very welcoming. Despite our late arrival time, the manager welcomed us with a smile. The dishes are excellent. Address not to be missed!!

Very good Reunionese cuisine, pleasant welcome. Reunionese and Mauritian music. We enjoyed the delicious Rougaille Sausage, the samosas and the corks.

14/09/2024: Very nice discovery in Bordeaux. Guaranteed trip to Greece and the grilled octopus is a treat.
16/08/2024: Really nice terrasse in historical neighbourhood of Bordeaux, friendly staff, service was prompt and the food was tasty, dishes were fresh and colorful. I was disappointed by the wine service as I ordered a bottle of Assyrtiko and was given a bottle of Chardonnay without telling us. It’s only when they brought the bottle covered by an ice pack, poured the wine and left that I realised the wine tasted different and it was really not the one I ordered. Asked the staff who came back explaining they ran out and thought this was would be the same, therefore a good replacement. I was not happy with this explanation. They offered us a shot of a digestive to compensate but alas as a wine person, disappointed with wine service especially with the bill. Felt the dinner was tasty but in terms of experience it was not entirely satisfying and overpriced.

27/08/2024: We arrived well after check-in and our room was not ready, so Maya who is simply wonderful provided us with free drinks at the bar, then upgraded our room once it became obvious it would not be ready. Despite a pretty bad hick-up that left a pretty bad taste in our mouth, Maya simply went above and beyond, even taking the time to write up some great suggestions for places to stay and check out on our road trip. Very much appreciated! After some reflection I adjusted my review, and added a few stars. This is really a very nice hotel, and it could not be more centrally located, especially for a visit to the Christmas Market
23/08/2024: Problem with the rooftop in the middle of the afternoon. Obliged to ask for the card! After 30 minutes without seeing anyone we left! We did, however, enjoy a beautiful view! Free! Really not up to the standard displayed
