O moulin sur Carsac-Aillac

There were six of us at this beautiful restaurant. The welcome was perfect, and the meal was flawless, from appetizer to dessert! We highly recommend it! Don't forget to book! It would be a shame to miss out!

O Moulin - Carssac Aillac - September 2026 What a pleasure to return to this establishment near the banks of the famous Dordogne River, which we frequented a few years ago... Once again, the tone is set from the very first bites. Cod fritters, local cheese croquettes, and beetroot and horseradish espuma. Taste, flavors, zest, creativity... nothing but good things to start. We eagerly await the rest of the meal. The starters: Borrèze trout and coleslaw, a very pretty and refined dish. We would have liked a slightly larger portion of trout. The other, escalope of foie gras, open ravioli with confit, and creamy coco beans, is a classic these days, but perfectly executed. As for the main courses: Pork loin, stuffed piquillo peppers and Basque garnish, chorizo ​​jus. Olé Olé! Duck breast, seasonal vegetables in a red wine sauce, and creamy porcini mushrooms... To finish: a marriage of dark chocolate and coconut. Original, fresh, and... excellent. Best of luck with your business.

Update July 25th: The food is top-notch, Michelin-star quality. The garden is now very nice, and the tables are set. The service is very friendly, quick, and attentive. Absolutely worth a visit; reservations are recommended. Fantastic food. Very friendly. Prices are a bit high, and the ambiance could be improved, especially in the garden. Tablecloths would be appropriate inside. Update September 26th: Still superb food and exceptionally friendly service. I'm sure we'll be back…

A meal with friends where we received a warm welcome in this old mill. After some excellent recommendations, we enjoyed refined and authentic cuisine made with very good local produce. Highly recommended.
