On a small square, right next to a pretty fountain, you'll find an authentic country bistro that serves up excellent dishes. The veal kidneys are a must-try for those who enjoy them. Before that, enjoy some tapas accompanied by their selection of local wines – a real treat! And don't forget, if you still have room for a bite, their excellent homemade tiramisu. A lovely little bar on a beautiful square, with very friendly staff. We only had one drink as it was the afternoon.

Back at Les Vieux Tonneaux on the evening of September 5th. Relaxed atmosphere, except for the mosquitoes—everyone had their spray :=). The setting is lovely on this little square under the plane trees. The dishes are good and generous, the service is efficient and unpretentious, and the bill is reasonable (€100 for two including aperitifs, starter, main course, bottle of rosé, and coffee). We'll be back.

Almost all summer. Good music at their place. Everyone is friendly.

Hearty meals and a good atmosphere.

Today, I discovered the restaurant "O Vieux Tonneau" on the main square of the charming village of Peyrac-sur-Mer, with its pink flamingos in the lagoon. It's truly the heart of the village, a place where locals and tourists alike gather. I ordered a wood-fired sausage with fries and salad. Excellent sausage, very good homemade fries. Then, I saw a customer with fried smelt. Regarding the service, I had a somewhat mixed experience with a waitress who wasn't very attentive and seemed reluctant to answer questions. On the other hand, our red-haired waiter and the other staff members were very friendly. It's a shame, as it slightly affected the experience. I understand that it's busy, but customers should be able to ask questions before ordering and show some empathy for the other customers. The overall atmosphere is excellent. The square has a very Mediterranean feel with its fountain, shops (ice cream parlor, pizzeria, small grocery store), and the church. The town hall has a lovely fountain with drinking water. The restaurant itself is well-designed, with a converted warehouse area housing the wood-fired cooking area, and there are also indoor tables for those seeking a cooler environment. The bar is spacious and inviting. I highly recommend this place and will return as soon as possible.
