Tastes are very subjective, it's true, but for me, this is the best ramen in France! Having not been to Japan long enough, I wouldn't dare say the world, but in my heart, it's practically the same ;)
The broth, the quantity, the ingredients, and the balance of flavors are perfectly executed, right down to the dessert (matcha tiramisu being a standout).
Another testament to its quality: the restaurant has been around for almost 15 years!! I've been a regular since it opened and I've never been disappointed. Although I no longer live in Lyon, I love making pilgrimages back :) So, if you love ramen, go without hesitation, and if you're new to ramen, this is the best place to discover it ❤️

Okawali Charpennes is a real gem: authentic Japanese cuisine with excellent ramen and gyoza (the best in Lyon!). The portions are generous, the staff is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is friendly.
Don't forget the green tea tiramisu: delicious and unique, perfect for a sweet ending to your meal.

A restaurant we've known for many years. Back then, it was already great, but now we found the dishes even better! The food is delicious, the broth is fantastic, the noodles and everything else are generous and flavorful—in short, flawless. Thank you for the wonderful meal, and see you soon!

I loved it, even better than Fufu Ramen! And that was already a high bar! But this... I really got the same flavors as the dishes I tasted in Japan. Thank you again! It was a real treat! Arigato gozaimasu!

Simply the best ramen I've ever had. The broth is incredible and very flavorful. The gyozas are also delicious and homemade, with a crispy crust, thin wrappers, and a soft filling. I've been a regular at this restaurant since I arrived in Lyon 10 years ago. I highly recommend it!
