24/03/2024: My favorite restaurant in Paris. A casual atmosphere, and excellent monthly menu, and a talented husband and wife team. You don’t often find a place as enjoyable as this.

19/03/2024: Once in a while, you have an experience which reminds you of the joy of life. Our dinner at Le Chanard was such an experience. We could not have picked a better restaurant for our time in Paris, and we could not have encountered better hosts than the owner and his wife. You can read all the details about the restaurant in the other reviews - for this review, I simply want to say, this is a place of warmth and joy, and my only regret is not living here, and not being able to become a regular. Make a reservation (or you’re not likely to get a seat at one of the handful of tables!). Order all three courses, and wine. Spend some time here and enjoy one of the best dining experiences to be found in Paris. I promise, you won’t regret it. Edit: We were fortunate enough to visit again in March of 2024 for another wonderful experience. Antoine is still just as charming as we remembered, and Lisa is still a magnificent chef. We hope to come again next year!
