O'Kuriz sur Gennevilliers

The food was incredible; the flavors of India were beautifully presented. No complaints whatsoever. Therefore, we came on Thursday at noon at 7 a.m. We were served and greeted by one of the waitresses, who was very pleasant and welcoming. Perfect. However, the second waitress was completely unprofessional. All the service was conducted over the phone; we could hear her talking from our table, swearing, and... When it came time to pay, we saw her practically lying down in her chair.

Absolutely beautiful, I highly recommend it! The waitress Zeyneb is super nice and lovely; she gives great advice.

I'd seen a lot of this restaurant on social media, and given the positive Google reviews, I really wanted to try it. Dinner for two on my birthday. Restaurant: beautiful decor, clean dining room and restrooms. Service: friendly waitresses, but I don't think they have formal hospitality training. Food: simple menu, not an endless array of dishes, and very affordable prices (we were initially pleasantly surprised). That evening, they were out of shrimp, samosas, and some drinks… first disappointment. We ordered the chicken tandoori, which is supposed to be cooked in a tandoor. Having had it in Indian restaurants before, this one looked fried, and when we tasted it, it was. It was served on a regular plate, whereas elsewhere it arrives on a cast-iron plate and is still sizzling… The Dahl soup had a lot of cream and was very salty (even though I eat salty food). For our main course, we ordered a mixed biryani. Unfortunately, the rice was dry and the shrimp completely unseasoned. It was as if they'd been taken straight from the freezer and thrown into the dish without even a sprinkle of salt. The butter chicken was good, but we've had better. The naan breads were served without the traditional sauces found in Indian restaurants. Perhaps we were just unlucky, but I don't understand the glowing reviews given my previous experiences at other Indian restaurants. I won't be returning.

I came with my daughters without a reservation, but the owner still welcomed us. The food was good and the staff were pleasant.

A mixed review for Okuriz restaurant. The establishment's strongest point is undoubtedly its setting: the place is very pretty and the decor is tasteful. However, the welcome was not warm. The cashier, busy on her phone, asked us to choose a table by adding the menu and scanning the QR code. As for the service, the organization is baffling: the restaurant advertises closing time as 10 pm, but at 9:10 pm, the waitress, preoccupied with answering personal calls, turned away customers, claiming the establishment was closing, even though the dining room was empty. Regarding the food, the dishes are passable but nothing special. For example, the cheese naan was undercooked. In conclusion, the visual potential is there, but a real effort needs to be made to improve the quality of the food and the professionalism of the staff.

Best Indian restaurant in Paris and the Île-de-France region! We went last night with my husband and our baby. The owner was so welcoming and kind. And the food is high quality—you can taste the freshness—and the flavors are amazing! I'm still dreaming about it! 10/10

Passing through Gennevilliers, we decided to try this restaurant! A warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere, and excellent food! I highly recommend it!

Very nice decor, friendly welcome, the dishes are good but nothing special, it's not typically Indian, it's a revisited Indian base.
