O'Tacos sur Montpellier

Okay, this review is from an American that has never heard about O'Tacos or French Tacos. We have been hearing about these magical tacos or panini with tortillas and fries in them. Sounded magical but also made us genuinely curious. We had to visit a O'Tacos. Now I understand that this would be my rating a McDonald's in the US 5 stars... which can never happen. So this review is only for the food, and a bit less on the service nor atmosphere. I do not know the fast-food standards. Here's the deal. You order this French Taco set for 4.80 Euros, which is less than the price of a large French Fries in McDonald's in Paris. In this set, you get a taco (chicken nuggets, fries, and this magical Algerian sauce), a separate order of fries, and a soda. It is genuinely a phenomenal value. But now what is this French Taco? You essentially take a tortilla, line it up with Alegerian sauce (orange and has a bit of a kick), put chicken nuggets, French fries bits, plenty of cheese, and then you panini it. You get this hot-pocket style flat panini with gooey innards, warm chicken, and crunchy potatoes. This is essentially an invention from the gods. And you can now easily see that based on the meat and sauce, you get infinite varieties. But we were so impressed by the classical version - chicken nuggets and Algerian sauce - that we dare not try another combination while visiting Paris. The store had the big O theme all over, quite consistent. Clean interior. Modern angle shouldering other leading brands like McDonald's. The service though, was somewhat entirely missing. There is no place for napkins. There is no place to get extra ketchup, etc. Everything needs to be spoken through this delivery hole in the wall. O'Tacos is a brilliant concept. The owner should consider bringing this to the US ASAP.
